The arming shirt was inspired by the shirts that knights wore under their armor next to their skin. The cut allows a full range of motion. The collar is convertible and can be worn open or closed at the neck with one of our historic brooches. The seams are finished flat and the stress points are reinforced to make your favorite shirt hold up to real use on the jousting field, banqueting hall, motorcycle. or just sitting on your deck.
The Bare Limbs motif begins, as Olive, with the bare trunks and branches of the forest, complete with lichens and moss. Variations allow us to explore seasonal aspects. Shown are Olive on Shadow (dusk, with black weft). Olive Bare Limbs is woven with a Concho Yarn of medium weight, which gives us a special weight of cloth, heavier than our usual shirt weight, and lighter and more flowing than many Ruanas.
